I have migrated its followers to this new one. So technically you follow this new blog now and should be able to see its posts on your reader.
As for that button at the bottom, that’s not from WordPress. It’s just a plugin I added to make it easy for users to follow this blog. I guess it would stay visible always.

Then I did it via Reader, as you suggested. Reader said I was already connected/ following to this url blog.
Now to see if your blogposts actually appear on my reader.
However, I’m still seeing the ‘Follow & stay connected’ tag at bottom of ur blog page.
