Interview on Writer’s Ezine: I think I did pour myself quite a lot in the characters of my first novel Dream’s Sake. But the character of Nirvi of Lemon Girl is entirely her how. Author’s Ink Literary Awards 2015: My latest novel Lemon Girl is based upon the issue of rape and victim blaming. The rising crimes against women and girls in India and the persisting tendency of always laying the blame on the women disturbed me. I hated the way people kept on trying to accuse the victim and excuse the culprit. This book is my protest against rape and victim-blaming. Lemon Girl asserts that a victim can’t be treated as a culprit just because she’s a woman. A woman deserves just as much respect as a man. READ MORE
